Nandini focuses her practice on commercial and mass tort litigation, employment matters and regulatory compliance.
Prior to joining the firm in 2011, Nandini worked as a fellow with the Honorable Ronald L. Ellis in the Southern District of New York.
In law school, Nandini served as a Managing Editor for the Emory International Law Review and received the Dean’s Award for her work in the International Humanitarian Law Clinic.
Nandini is a member of the Federal Bar Council, the American Bar Association and the South Asian Bar Association of New York.
Nandini has represented the firm’s clients in a broad range of employment matters, including claims involving wrongful discharge, harassment and discrimination. She has provided advice on compliance with labor and employment regulations and immigration regulations relating to foreign employees. Moreover, Nandini has assisted clients in drafting and revising employment handbooks and manuals.
Nandini’s practice has included representing clients in commercial litigation, such as breach of contract matters, and litigation arising under international treaties (including the Montreal and Warsaw Conventions). Nandini also has advised clients on various commercial matters, including contracts, leases and insurance disputes.
Nandini has represented several airlines in major accident litigation. Her litigation experience includes serving as a member of the damages team representing Colgan Air in the February 2009 Flight 3407 accident, in which she focused on damages discovery and related motion practice. Nandini also was a member of the team representing Caribbean Airlines in the Flight 523 Accident on July 23, 2011.
In addition to her litigation work, Nandini has experience with regulatory compliance and enforcement matters, including advising air carriers regarding compliance with the Air Carrier Access Act (ACAA) and various provisions of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs). Nandini has assisted clients in procuring air carrier permits and exemptions, and in filing annual reports with federal and state regulatory bodies.
Nandini’s legal experience also includes working on social media and intellectual property matters.
