Safa’s practice encompasses all aspects of aviation and commercial litigation matters.
Safa represents foreign air carriers and their insurers, and other clients of the firm in personal injury, wrongful death, aircraft ground accidents, and loss cases. Her work includes litigating claims governed by the Montreal Convention, Warsaw Convention, other international treaties, U.S. aviation statutes, and foreign aviation regulations.
Prior to joining the firm, Safa worked as an associate for a boutique litigation firm where she represented clients in complex business, securities, and real estate related litigation in both state and federal courts. Safa was also an associate for a national litigation law firm where she worked on contract law and property insurance cases.
Safa is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law where she was awarded the Dean’s Merit Scholarship and the Priscilla Jewett Schneller Scholarship. During law school she worked as a student attorney at the Miami Law Startup Practicum, working directly with entrepreneurs on intellectual property, business formation, and corporate structuring. Safa twice earned the Certificate of Dean’s Achievement in Startup and Entrepreneurship Law at Miami Law. She also worked with the Vice Dean of the University of Miami School of Law as a research assistant, assisting with matters related to defamation.
During law school, Safa interned at a law firm working on various contractual matters and licensing agreements. She also worked as a mergers and acquisitions research intern who assisted in conducting due diligence and drafting legal agreements.
Safa is fluent in Urdu.
