Brittany’s work encompasses all aspects of aviation and commercial litigation matters.
Brittany represents the firm’s aviation and aerospace clients, including domestic and foreign carriers, and their insurers, in complex civil litigation. Her practice spans a broad range of matters, including cases involving the Montreal Convention, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Brittany has experience handling high-stakes litigation on behalf of air carriers in cases concerning wrongful death, sexual assault, personal injury, cargo damage and loss, and breach of contract. Notably, Brittany served as trial counsel in Cadigan v. Liberty Helicopters, Inc., et al., Index No. 2018/152286, in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, New York County. The case arose from the crash of an Airbus A350B2 helicopter in New York’s East River on March 11, 2018.
Brittany is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, where she received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award and regularly earned Honors for making the Dean’s List. She also received numerous awards in recognition of her trial advocacy skills, including the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers Award and the Florida Association of Women Lawyers Award and Scholarship.
Prior to joining the firm, Brittany served as a Staff Attorney in the Special Litigation Unit and the Community Justice Unit at the Legal Aid Society. She also held a John J. Gibbons Fellowship in Public Interest & Constitutional Law, where she worked on a range of civil litigation matters, including the development of a class action with nearly 1,500 members. Brittany was also a Bertha Justice Fellow at the Center for Constitutional Rights, where she argued numerous motions before various federal judges, including those sitting in Louisiana, New Jersey, and New York.
