Dave Harrington took part in a two-day CLE event covering current and developing issues in aviation and space litigation. On October 25, 2019, Dave moderated a panel discussion titled, “Orbital Space Debris: One Person’s Junk is Not Another Person’s Treasure,” at the ABA Tort Trial & Insurance (TIPS), Aviation and Space Law Committee’s Annual CLE Seminar in Washington, DC. As the volume of orbital debris continues to grow, the panel discussed the technical and legal issues related to the mitigation and removal of orbital debris, as well as the liability regime for damage caused by debris in space, in the air, and on the Earth’s surface.
